VoiceThread

Hello Bloggers!

Today was my first day using VoiceThread and I have to say that it is a really great tool! This tool can definitely be used for one's academic journey as you are able to view other peoples comments and also create your own comments on things like slideshows, videos, etc. The best value about this tool that I think is that you can see what others are commenting which helps you synthesize and create ideas as well.

This tool is very multi-purposeful as it can fit under almost everything in my PLN depending on how you think about using the tool. Firstly, it can fit under the category of Practicing Digital Literacy because when you are writing or verbally speaking your comments, you must practice how to be literate online using technology. Secondly, it fits under the category of Practicing Digital Responsibility as you are not copying ones work when reading others comments, nor are you using wrong language to write or verbally speak the comments. Thirdly, it can fit under the category of Synthesizing and Creating as you are thinking about was to comment and you are creating a comment either through text or verbally. Lastly, it can fit under the category of collaborating and socializing as you are technically collaborating with other peoples ideas through their comments that they post under the slideshow, video, etc.

I will be using this tool throughout my academic learning as it helps me learn more about using proper etiquette online, or even being more technologically literate.

Check out this VoiceThread on The Digital Rights and Responsibilities Discussion VoiceThread. Comment on the slides wishin this voice thread! It is a great learning experience.
