Hello bloggers!
Today I used animoto for the first time and I have
to say that it is a really cool tool! I completed my animoto on the famous
digital responsibility of citing other peoples work and how important it is to
do this. I also talked about the use copyright and creative commons and what
they have to do with the responsibility to cite others work. Copyright is when
someone specific has the right to use someone else’s work, whether they
reproduce it or give out copies of it or if they exhibit the work publically
(Baily, 2005). Not everyone has copyright purposes to everything which means
that they cannot use it without citing it. If work is used and not cited, you
are breaking the digital responsibility of citing other peoples work, which in
turn takes away your right to be a digital citizen.

The other topic I talked about was creative
commons. Creative commons enables people to share or use other peoples work
through free legal tools (Stieben, 2014). With this you can use other peoples
work only if it has a creative commons liscence. This ensures that you are
allowed to share or use without attributing the work to anyone. You are still
following the right of ownership by following the rules of technology. With
following the rules of technology you are a guaranteed digital citizen.

Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting your slide show. Good work!
Feedback will be provided on the rubric as this is part of Assignment 5.

Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteLoved your slideshow this week, this week was also my first time using it as well. I made a slideshow that had my Italy trip memories because I felt that this tool is a great way to tell a story with photos. I feel that this tool allows you to use more photos than text.
Thanks,
Tyra
